SAN FRANCISCO, CA
Having someone "in your corner" is reassuring anytime in life, but having that someone be a member of the medical profession is a godsend when you are facing health concerns.
It made a huge difference to me to be able to discuss my issues, understand my options, and have help to priorities my next steps forward with Sara Stephens. A good listener, she heard what I was saying as well as hearing what I wasn't saying. She is a calm, positive, very respectful of privacy professional who has recognized the need for support for patients.
Sara offers and delivers a way to understand today's medical realities. She stayed in touch with the patient, doctors and family, and then explained AND interpreted all their various perspectives. She was invaluable to my family.
WE ARE YOUR MEDICAL FAMILY
Sara C. Stephens

She is an experienced mediator, observing any situation from both the perspective of the patient and the healthcare system. With an eye for detail, she anticipates and understands how to guide patients and their families while keeping the whole picture in mind.
A graduate of Stanford University, Sara's clinical background includes medical surgical nursing, intensive care units, transitional care units and in pre-operative nursing facilitation. She has served as nursing liaison between the board of managers and the health care center at The Heritage, a life care retirement community. "As a nurse advocate, I facilitate patient and family communication with healthcare providers, educate patients about their healthcare choices, and assist families with their healthcare needs so they can cope better with illness."
VP Clinical Pharmacy
Alicia is focused on promoting safety within her patients medication regime. She takes time to review your medications in detail, help identify any potential side effects and drug-drug interactions, and will help you manage and simplify your medication schedule.
A graduate of the UCSF School of Pharmacy, Alicia practiced as a clinical pharmacist for over 20 years at the UCSF Medical Center working directly with patients to manage and optimize their medication therapy. Her pharmacy experience included working in the clinic, hospital and administrative settings with a focus on medication safety and quality care.
“Patients who are faced with a new diagnosis or a serious chronic condition have much to consider in taking care of their health. Medications usually play a key role in their therapy. I have helped many patients and families understand their medications, optimize their effectiveness, avoid certain side effects, and manage complicated drug regimens. Working directly with patients has brought me a great sense of personal satisfaction knowing that I have made a difference in the quality of their care.“
